Namibia is an arid country where the resident wildlife has adapted to the limited water available. With the aid of microlight aircraft, Des and Jen Bartlett's cameras record ephemeral rivers and an oasis in the Namib Desert visited by elephants, gemsbok, ostrich and pied crows; flamingos and dabchicks. They follow a river course inland and visit Etosha National Park, where, in contrast to the parched desert sands, the plains are green after summer storms. Springbok, zebra, wildebeest and a variety of other animals enjoy this bounty as fresh storms darken the skies and more rains slash down - truly a gift from heaven for the wildlife.
