The Supply Post
These buildings were erected on erven no. 149 of the Schutztruppe in 1911 to
serve as supply post for their operations in this area. During later years
it was used as workshop for the marble works with additional residence for
the owner.
As part of the old town, the supplies post was declared
national monument on the 15th of May 1986. It is currently in
use by the marble works.

Diese
Gebäude wurden auf dem Grundstück Nr. 149 von der Schutztruppe im Jahre
1911 errichtet. In späteren Jahren wurde es in eine Werkstatt für
Marmorarbeiten samt eine Wohnung umgeändert.
Das Proviant-Amt wurde am 15. Mai 1986 als Teil der
Altstadt unter Denkmalschutz gestellt, und dient auch heute noch den
Marmorwerken von Karibib.

Questo
edificio è stato costruito sul terreno no. 149 dalle truppe coloniali nel
1911. Negli anni seguenti fu modificato per fungere da appartamento e da
officina per lavorare il marmo.
L´ufficio delle provvisioni fa parte del centro storico.
Dal 15 maggio 1986 è monumento nazionale. Fino ad oggi serve allo
stabilimento di marmo di Karibib.
