needed stop-over for the railway, horse and
ox-wagon connections from Karibib to Windhoek.

Durch das Vorkommen natürlicher Quellen entstand 1906
die Station Johann-Albrechts-Höhe, welche der Pferde- und
Dampflokversorgung auf dem Weg nach Windhuk diente.
